PROGRAM OF EVENTS - OVERVIEW
Join in with regular pre-existing events or participate in tailored offerings for the Women's Adventure Weekend.
Local outdoor groups and keen outdoors folk have joined together to highlight opportunities for women to adventure in Victoria's NE.
The program profiles regular pre-existing events, perfect to link in with and then continue your onward journey of adventure.
There is also one-off events, designed especially for the weekend. These sessions will spark new adventure opportunities and/or extend your adventuring and outdoor connections.
Most events are open to all, there are a few women's only events. Some events are entry level, others require experience and skill in the particular activity. All events are facilitated by experienced outdoors folk, with attention to planning and participation that emphasizes safe and sound practices in the outdoors.
Pricing for all events profiled via Action the Adventure - Women's Adventure Weekend is low-cost and awesome value, from free to $80, thanks to the generosity of organisations, businesses and individuals supporting the event.
Everyone involved is volunteering time, resources and energy - thanks! thanks! thanks!
We are pleased to direct the benefit of our efforts both towards highlighting accessible options, and contributing to the well-being of marginalized women. Where sessions have a fee it is to contribute to insurance, basic costs incurred, with $ after that forwarded to the fundraising aspect of the event. There is concession pricing available on some events.
In addition to the event highlighting accessible adventure options, we wanted our adventuring to contribute something to the well-being of marginalized women. This year, funds raised will be donated to the www.yogaforfreedom.org.au fundraising effort Sep 2-9. Via a few specialized events and opportunities to donate online or on the day we will support their important work (primarily in Nepal - a place of adventure) with women and girls who have experienced sex slavery, exploitation and abuse.
This program of events is open to new additions, so will be updated each week. Check back in for more offerings.
Choose your own adventure! There are multiple, sometimes concurrent, options. This is to cater for different interest and profile the various events that are on. Please register for each individual session, at the details and registration section of this website.
