About the event

Sandy King has a background in youth work, community development and the fringes of the education system. She is an internationally certified Kids Emotion Coach and trainer, and mum of 5 kids (upper primary , secondary school ages). Busyness and pace of life means for her that the power of time in nature can be profound, and at times it can be fleeting and everything in between… she offers this time as a place of love, knowing that finding our best expression of ourselves can be enriched by being in touch with nature on many levels.

Kate Walsh has a background in Outdoor Education, Narrative Therapy, and Teaching, and has worked particularly in the Bush Adventure Therapy field. Now a mother to young children, Kate shares her love for nature and nurture from nature with her children and friends, young and old. Being in the bush sustains and helps make parenting wonderful, and is consistent with an understanding that her life is about spending time in nature with people.

  • Donate to the fundraiser

In addition to highlighting accessible adventure options, we wanted our adventuring to contribute something to the well-being of marginalized women. This year funds raised will be donated to the Yoga For Freedom fundraising effort Sep 2-9. Via a few specialized events and opportunities to donate online or on the day we will support their important work (primarily in Nepal - a place of outdoor adventure) with women and girls who have experienced sex slavery, exploitation and abuse.
