Join North East Canoe Club to kayak the King River. The section of river is a favorite, a fantastic trip of grade 2+ rapids with lots of play spots and waves. This option is for all experienced paddlers, with an emphasis on women's participation. You need to have your own equipment.

About the event
This event offers up the chance for experienced kayakers to come paddle the King River. Enjoying the company of women on the water. The section of river is a favorite, a fantastic trip of grade 2+ rapids with lots of play spots and waves.
This option is for all experienced paddlers, with an emphasis on women's participation. It is not a women's only event. You need to have your own equipment.
North East Canoe Club is hosting a come try canoeing session at Lake William Hovel in the morning. Feel free to come along. There are BBQ's at nearby Lake William Hovel - feel welcome to BYO bbq and join us for lunch.
After the session, join us at the Mountainview Hotel for a social catch up.

In addition to highlighting accessible adventure options, we wanted our adventuring to contribute something to the well-being of marginalized women. This year funds raised will be donated to the Yoga For Freedom fundraising effort Sep 2-9. Via a few specialized events and opportunities to donate online or on the day we will support their important work (primarily in Nepal - a place of outdoor adventure) with women and girls who have experienced sex slavery, exploitation and abuse.
